Embroidery Insider was created by Jim Mickelson, CEO of Northwest Embroidery, as an outlet to share his ideas and opinions amongst his peers throughout the embroidered apparel industry. His goal is to help small embroidery companies make money.

Since founding the company in 1977 with little more than a box of caps and a sewing machine, he has developed it into a multinational organization, with offices both stateside and in China.  He is now proud to share responsibility with his sons Erik and Scott, who work alongside him in their head office located in Milton, Washington.

With over 30 years in the business,  Jim has successfully ridden the industry’s many ups and downs, all while learning and adapting his business along the way.
